Itinerary
Duration: 5-6 hours
You will discover the magic of antigravity and Aragats mountain, an isolated four-peaked volcano massif in Armenia. Its northern summit, at 4,090 m above sea level, is the highest point of the Lesser Caucasus and Armenia.
The other wonder which awaits you is Lake Kari on top of Aragats. The name of Lake Kari (“Kari Lich”) is translated from Armenian as “Stone Lake”. It is located at an altitude of 3200 meters and most of the time surrounded by snow.
Tasty lunch in mountains is an optional experience and may be added with an additional fee.
You will also explore the Armenian alphabet invented by Mesrop Mashtotc at the Armenian Alphabet Monument site.
The other beautiful discovery will be Amberd, a 10th-century fortress on the slopes of Mount Aragats. Near the fortress, you will see Vahramashen Church (the 11th century).
Discovery of the beautiful Saghmosavank Monastery is an available optional experience and may be ordered with an additional fee.
